GIRL POWER FLAG FOOTBALL
The mission of the 404 Bulls Youth Development Organization Girls Flag Football Program is to create a safe, positive, and empowering environment where every girl has the opportunity to learn, play, compete, grow, and have fun. Our program is built on teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, effort, enthusiasm, discipline, and respect.
At 404 Bulls, we believe our girls are more than athletes. They are leaders, teammates, students, sisters, and future difference-makers. Our goal is to help each player develop skills on the football field while also building confidence, self-esteem, character, and life lessons that will carry far beyond the game.
We are one family. We support one another, encourage one another, and celebrate one another regardless of the scoreboard. Every girl will be given the opportunity to play, contribute, and feel valued. We will warm up together, compete together, rally together, and celebrate together. Through flag football, our girls will learn commitment, grit, perseverance, mental toughness, accountability, and what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Coaches’ Commitment
Coaches within the 404 Bulls Girls Flag Football Program are responsible for upholding the mission and values of our organization at all times. Coaches will provide a safe, welcoming, positive, and fun environment where players can learn the game of football and grow as young people.
Our coaches will be held to the highest standards, with no exceptions. There will be no cursing, arguing with officials, disrespectful behavior, or yelling at players. Coaches are expected to lead by example and serve as positive role models for every young lady in the program.
Culture is everything, and our coaches set the tone. Players often become an extension of the leadership they see, so it is our responsibility to model respect, discipline, patience, encouragement, and sportsmanship. This program is about our girls, not us. It is about creating memorable experiences, building confidence, and teaching lessons that last a lifetime.
Only coaches may speak to officials about calls, and all conversations with officials must be handled respectfully.
Player Expectations
Players are expected to bring effort, focus, and a positive attitude to practices and games. They are expected to be on time, listen to their coaches, support their teammates, respect their opponents, and represent the 404 Bulls Youth Development Organization with pride.
Sportsmanship, enthusiasm, teamwork, and respect are core expectations of this program. Bullying, disrespect, or negative behavior will not be tolerated. If an issue occurs, a warning will be given by the coach. A second issue may result in loss of playing time or dismissal from a game. Continued behavior concerns may lead to a review of the player’s standing with the team for the remainder of the season.
We want every player to understand that being a 404 Bull means carrying yourself with pride, respect, toughness, and love for your team.
Celebrating Our Players
The 404 Bulls Girls Flag Football Program will celebrate players throughout the season for their performance, effort, leadership, improvement, and commitment to our core values. Every player will be recognized during the season.
Our awards and celebrations are designed to teach our girls that success is not only measured by touchdowns, wins, or trophies. Success is also shown through hard work, resilience, teamwork, attitude, perseverance, and overcoming adversity both on and off the field.
We will celebrate champions, but we will also celebrate character. The lessons learned through this program will extend far beyond the white lines of the football field.
Parent Expectations
Parents are kindly asked to fully support and trust the 404 Bulls program, our coaches, and our process. Together, we will set the standard for youth sports and create the best possible experience for our girls.
We ask parents to let the coaches coach, let the players play, and let the officials officiate. Our focus must always remain on the development, confidence, and success of the girls.
Parents should not approach coaches about football strategy or playing time. Coaches will work hard to put every player and team in the best position to learn, grow, compete, and succeed. Parents interested in coaching will have the opportunity to express interest during registration, and our organization will follow up with qualified candidates.
Our Purpose
Youth football should be fun, positive, and memorable. While we will teach our girls to compete, our program is not only about winning. It is about learning the fundamentals of the game, building confidence, developing leadership, working together, and understanding the value of team.
At 404 Bulls, we believe the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When our girls learn to work together, support each other, and believe in themselves, they gain lessons that can impact their homes, schools, communities, and futures.
This is more than flag football.
This is development.
This is sisterhood.
This is leadership.
This is 404 Bulls.
Let’s play some flag football!
